Idly is a common Indian breakfast available at most places in India. Famous in South India. Tastes good when had with Sambar.
- White lentils- 3 Cups
- Idly Rawa (Semolina)- 6 Cups (If done in Grinder 6 cups. If done in mixer 1/5 cups)
- Salt
Procedure:
Soak the above items separately in 2 bowls for 4 hrs. Grind to a smooth paste and ferment overnight.
In the morning add salt to the batter then fill the batter into the idly stands and place in a cooker (remove the weight) and cook for 10-15 mins. Enjoy with chutney.
