Mangalore buns can be had for breakfast and also as a snack. The sweet taste of bananas adds flavor to the dish. I personally prefer to dip the buns in the tea/coffee and take a bite.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
Mash the bananas in a large bowl. Add the powdered sugar to this followed by salt and cumin seeds.
Gradually add the flour slowly, cup by cup and start to knead. At this point the mixture would be very sticky. Add few drops of oil and continue kneading. The dough is done once the mixture stop sticking to your hand (Adjust with Maida if dough is sticky) .
Keep it covered for 5 to 6 hrs. Roll the dough with little thick base and then deep fry .Enjoy with your favorite dip/chutney.
